ARRIS Battery Packs

An ARRIS battery pack equipped Touchstone telephony modem can provide uninterrupted voice service including emergency 911 services during a power failure. When electrical power is not available the modem will automatically switch to the battery pack(s) for power. When electrical power is restored, the modem will switch back to electrical power and the battery pack(s) will recharge right in the modem. No intervention is required.

Integrated battery backup capability is not available with all Touchstone modems. Backup capable TM6 Models include: TM602G and TM602H. TM5 Models include: TM502G, TM502H, TM504G and TM504H. TM4 Models include: TM402G and TM402P.

ARRIS recommends using only an ARRIS battery pack with a Touchstone telephony modem (e-MTA). The ARRIS lithium-ion battery pack is designed to provide optimum performance and enhanced network capabilities for the Touchstone telephony modem. Other battery packs may damage the Touchstone telephony modem and void the warranty.

Battery backup times are typical and can be influenced by the age of the battery, the charging state, storage conditions and operating temperature as well as factors such as data activity and length of active telephone calls.
