Digicon RG6 universal F-connectors are used for generic RG6 coaxial cable with 60% braid through RG6 quad-shield braid coverage. Digicon universal F connectors terminate utilizing a conical swedge technology for unbeatable performance and reliability. The 360 degree conical compression completely seals the connector around the cable jacket for increased electrical and mechanical performance, secure weather-tight termination and enhanced pull-out strength. In the Digicon S series the die that creates the swedge is located in the connector. Digicon universal F connectors include a unique machined brass sealing ring located in the final compression taper to create a permanent water barrier at the connector base. A lubricated internal O-ring prevents moisture migration at the mandrel nut. A large ferrule contact surface ensures a proper RF and digital interface. The free-spinning brass tin-plated body and nickel-plated nut provide superior corrosion resistance and durability. The connector nut is 50 percent larger, 20 percent deeper, with 30 percent more threads for a more firm grip and to provide a secure weather-tight connection.
